Wooden Duck

Considered as the ride and vahana or vehicle of prominent Hindu mythology figures like Brahma and Saraswati. Resembling goose and swan character traits, this aquatic bird is known as Hamsa in Sanskrit. There are various metaphorical and symbolic representations of Hamsa through sculptures. Like one of it being able to cleanse evil and filter out the good like milk is filtered from a water mixture. And of its flight symbolizing the departure from the cycle of life and achieving moksha (considered as the highest spiritual position a person can attain).
