Named from Sanskrit words Natya and Shastra meaning represent and compendium. Natyashastra is the oldest surviving ancient Indian work on performance arts. It dates back to around 1 millennium BCE as Natasutras. Various mythical personalities are depicted performing dance arts and striking ancient cultural inspired poses. This was crafted in Southern India in full bronze with the lost-wax casting process which allows for duplicate metal sculptures from an original source.
